Comeback from Lady Tigers only falls in the state finals

An angry rally in the fourth quarter had no time when Lawrence North won the 4A basketball title with a 65:59 win against the Lady Tigers on Saturday evening in the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

The wildcats exceeded the Lady Tigers 36-18 in the middle two quarters and led 19 in the fourth quarter, but Warsaw found the range at fourth distance in the first three minutes in the first three minutes to reach 56: 49 within seven points. Finally Warsaw moved the deficit in the last minute to 3, but Kee Kee Butler from North achieved four free throws in the last 25 seconds of the game to secure victory.

Brooke Winchester led the Lady Tigers in their last high school game with 20 points, 13 rebounds and 2 blocks. Joslyn Bricker added 13 and Brooke Zartman 12.

After the game, Abbey Peterson was appointed basketball in 4a Girls for 2025. This award goes to a senior basketball player in a state final team that is a high -quality student, a high quality member of the community and a high -quality representative of your school.

Warsaw ends the season with 26 victories of school record and for the third time in the 50 years of the girls' state tournament.
