The Columbus Community Hospital organized a cardiology conference last Thursday, February 20. In the common room of the Columbus Wellness Center, which trained the participants about heart health.

The conference included free cholesterol and A1C screenings, presentations of cardiological health and wellness experts as well as healthy lunch and heart health resources to build and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

The cardiologist Dr. Kevin Rabii, the pulmonologist Dr. Carl Dahlberg and others who cover a wide range of cardiac and lung issues, including health demonstrations, best practice and other tips to ensure.

Some of these tips included important notes by Dr. Rabii, who encouraged the participants, take at least 2,500 steps a day or more to show evidence that indicate 50% lower deaths or heart -related incidents.

Dr. Rabii also emphasized that aspirin should not only be taken and depends on the person's medical illness.

“We do not recommend aspirin for a normal person because this can cause bleeding,” said Dr. Rabii. “It can even cause more bleeding than some blood thinners. At low doses it dilutes the blood and protects it. It could be more dangerous for higher doses. “

Dr. Dahlberg presented various case studies of patients that he had seen throughout his career and showed a variety of symptoms and their different diagnoses.

“The lungs filter, sort and process foreign materials such as bacteria, pollen, spores, dust and pollutants,” said Dr. Dahlberg. “We breathe only 21% oxygen and mainly nitrogen.”

Dr. Dahlberg also emphasized how 100 cigarettes in lifelong users are qualified as “chronic smokers” and a high risk of lung problems.

Those who have registered for the conference were treated with a heart -healthy lunch, a salad with all fixations, with the kind approval of Schobels Restuary.

Dr. Carl Dahlberg, a pulmonologist in the CCH system, was another guest speaker at the conference, which informed the participants about the correlation between lung and heart health.
