Community prayer day after fatal shooting on the Spirit Lake

Fort Totten, ND (Valley News Live) – On Thursday there will be a community prayer in the Spirit Lake Reserve on Thursday after shot tragic shootout at the beginning of this week.

The community prayer day will take place on March 6 from the Cankdeska Cikana Community College from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The trunk says that this is an attempt to support all tribal members and is held in cooperation with the suicide prevention program and the Spirit Lake behavior department.

Two people died and one is in a critical condition after a shootout on Tuesday morning near St. Michael. A man was custody on Tuesday afternoon after more than 25 law enforcement authorities answered the shootout and the search.

We are still waiting to officially learn the names of those involved. We know that the victims and suspects are all members of the Spirit Lake Tribe.

Valley News Live was in contact with friends of the victims who say that they are all shocked.
