A convicted pedophile who downloaded almost 400 indecent pictures of children was imprisoned.

The 35 -year -old Robert Bilsborough from Kingsfold Drive, Penwortham, was arrested after the officers had carried out a routine review of his electronic devices after they had previously condemned to have indecent pictures of children and the possession of prohibited pictures of children.

During the forensic examination of his devices that took place in November last year, the officers found 13 pictures that were classified as category A, the worst type, as well as 23 category B and 361 category C C.

He guilty of the crimes and appeared today (February 28) in front of the Preston Crown Court to take three cases of indecent pictures of children.

In total, he was sentenced to 58 weeks in prison. He was also subject to an arrangement for the prevention of sexual damage.

DC Marlena Kervelis from the Internet Child Child Exploitation Team said: “Bilsborough has a clear sexual interest in children and our careful monitoring of his actions has sent a sex offender back to prison.

“If sex offender violates the conditions imposed on them, we will not hesitate to bring them back to the dishes.

“Bilsborough is a serious risk and he is now behind bars where he belongs.

“As always, we pushed everyone with information about this type of activities to contact the police and tell us what they know.”
