Cop booked because he hided criminal past | Lucknow News

Lucknow: The District criminal control office (DCRB) responsible, inspector Angad Pratap SinghIn Barabanki it was accused of hidden his former criminal records to secure promotion.
According to the police, Angad Singh registered a robbery against him in 1999 at the Colonelganj police station in Kanpur, and in 2002 an indictment sheet was submitted against him after the prevention of Corruption Act.
During his term in Fatehpur (2015-16), however, he gave a wrong explanation in which he claimed that he had no criminal matters against him. According to instructions from IG (establishment), Circle Officer (Sadar) Harshit Chauhan examined the matter and found that Singh had misled the department. Based on a complaint by the SP office, chief writer Meena Bhatia, a case was registered in the police station of the city of Kotwali in Barabanki.
SP Barabanki Dinesh Kumar Singh said that a FIR had been registered. “After the examination, the IG (establishment) is presented to a report that monitors matters in connection with non -gazed ranks of the police, and measures are taken against Angad Pratap Singh,” he said.
