The group hopes to convey the conviction that the participants can always “shred” “

High Desert Devo is preparing to start another season with young people from Montezuma County.

The spring season runs from March 31 to May 15th. Summer exercises will be available in the last two weeks of June and July.

The autumn season runs from August 18 to October 2. The 501 (3) (C) also has a new executive director, Ed Writner.

In the program, some skills levels are offered, with a leisure group being added to focus on teaching drivers of how to have mountain bikes, or “for fun with others”.

Another group, the Crank Girls, allows girls to drive with other girls while learning together.

“Our programming of Crank Girls is open to all skills from first bikers to competitive drivers,” said program Chase Wesley. “We also have groups for skills/competitive drivers who want to improve their fitness and technical skills that enable them to do their best in a race or on the highest level.”

One of the prerequisites to join the high desert devo is that you can ride a bike on a paved path or bike path without training bikes.

Wesley announced that they hope to teach their programming on children by bike, but not quite there yet.

In High Desert Devo, drivers are built in their age rather than on their skills in teams.

“We hope that the drivers take away the faith that they can always” shred “. We know that it will look different for everyone to shred on a mountain bike to shred. For the first time it looks like it just looks out and trying something new, while it drives for another person with the ascent or a descent who always has the best of them, or it can be the driver who sends every chance they get, ”said Wesley.

“Regardless of who the driver is, the concept is the same. ABS is the heart of High Desert Devo, celebrates the heights, presses the depths and never ride alone. When they are surrounded by good people who share their passion, they are part of something larger than just one team. That's what ABS is about. “

Those who want to join the program but do not have the funds to buy a bicycle, equipment or registration fee can support themselves on the website of the group www.highdesert.org.

“We hope that we will deal with the establishment of community sponsorship to help us bring more and more children from Montezuma County to bicycles,” said Wesley.

Welsy was not just an entertaining sport for young people and hopes that those who participate will discover a lifelong love for riding.

“Our mission is to strengthen the young people of the Montezuma district by helping them develop a lifelong passion for cycling,” said Wesley. “All of our trainers have had a very positive effect on their lives by bike when they teach them, such as:
