Could it start in May?

We are weeks from the next Nintendo Direct, which will finally reveal more details about the upcoming Switch 2. In the meantime, the leaks are further aligned with the new console, and the latest seems to point out a surprisingly early release date.

On Tuesday, Famiboards user Lic claimed that around 383,000 switches were shipped to the United States between 17 and 22 January. The user has been pursuing the programs of boxes and operating instructions for months and suggests that these units are fully completed retail packages and can soon be placed on the shelves.

“383k is a decent show, but I would not surprise myself if the numbers increase,” said the user. “HVBG [the transport company] I received 1.2 million units of one-pro system in December such as SOC and screen, and in January we can get 1.7 million and we can expect 100% of those who are delivered to the United States. “

Already in January, Nintendo confirmed that the Switch 2 would start in 2025 but did not deliver an release date. Some have speculated that the console would be ready this summer, while others believe that Nintendo will wait until closer to the holiday season.

If there are already hundreds of thousands of Switch 2 units in the USA in the memory, we are ready to bet that the console will be available earlier than this autumn.

In retrospect, Nintendo organized his Switch presentation on January 12, 2017 and then started the console two months later on March 3.. There is no reason to assume that the gaming company does not strive for the same strategy for the Switch.

Fortunately, we shouldn't have to guess much longer. The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct will take place on April 2, 2025 at 6:00 a.m. PT / 9:00 a.m. and at 6:00 a.m.
