The crews fought on Sunday in North and South Carolina in the dry conditions and the gusty winds in North and South Carolina when the residents were forced in some areas.

The national weather service warned of an increased risk of fire in the region due to a combination of critically dry fuels and very low relative humidity.

In South Carolina, where more than 175 fires burned 6.6 square miles, governor Henry McMaster explained an emergency on Sunday to support the reaction efforts for forest fires, and a nationwide burning ban remained.

The crews made progress with a fire in the Carolina Forest area west of the Coastal Resort City of Myrtle Beach, where, according to Horry County Fire, several districts had been evacuated. Video showed some people walking along the street when Rauch filled the sky. In the late Sunday afternoon, however, the fire brigade announced that Carolina Forest could return home evacuated.

The South Carolina Forestry Commission estimated Sunday evening that the flame had burned 2.5 square miles (6.5 square kilometers), with 30 percent of them. No structures had succumbed to the fire by Sunday morning, and officials were not reported until Sunday morning.

In North Carolina, the US Forest Service said that firefighters curb several forest fires in four woods on Sunday. The largest, about 400 hectares (162 hectares), was in the Uwarrie National Forest, about 80.47 kilometers east of Charlotte. The forest service said on Sunday afternoon that it had made progress in the fire and reached about a third of the containment.

The small southwestern city of Tryon in Polk County, North Carolina, asked some residents to evacuate on Saturday because a fire spread quickly there. The evacuations remained in force on Sunday. A decision about whether it should lift it should be made on Monday after deliberate burns are supposed to try to prevent the fire from spreading.

According to the Polk County Emergency Management/Fire Marshal's Office, this fire burned about 202 hectares (202 hectares) with containment of zero percentages. The North Carolina Forest Service carried out water waste on site, and the residents of the region should expect a lot of smoke during these operations, the officials said.
