Criminal migrants lead the police on high -speed drug hunt in Maryland

Frederick, Md. -A joint surgery between the US immigration and customs authority (ICE) and the sheriff office of the Sheriff from Frederick led to the identification and detention of two criminal foreigners after high-speed persecution and drug coating, said officials.

“This case is a clear example of how the cooperation with local jurisdiction improves public security by ensuring that dangerous people are properly identified and not left to our communities,” said Matthew Elliston, director of the incumbent field director of Ice Baltimore.

The operation was carried out as part of the 287 (g) program, a federal partnership with which MPs can examine people for violations of immigration substances. Frederick County's sheriff, Chuck Jenkins, a long -time supporter of the program, has worked with ICE since its foundation.

The incident began on February 20 at 9:20 p.m. when the deputy first Class Rouh watched a white Nissan van who behaved suspiciously near the Route 85 and the Grove Road. After checking the vehicle, he found that it was stolen. When he tried to stop the van, the driver fled and led the MPs on a high-speed persecution, which reached 100 miles per hour on I-270.

The chase continued through the counties Frederick and Montgomery before the officials ended the persecution near the Shady Grove Road after the suspect had intentionally rammed another vehicle. The Aviation of the Maryland State Police provided air surveillance when the officials of Montgomery County later arrested four suspects in a Sheetz Convenience Store.
