CTA announces schedule changes before the expected Spring Ridership Rush Rush Rideership

The CTA announced changes in the schedules before the driver is expected, when the weather was warmed up – mostly on the blue line, the agency said on Monday evening.

From April 20, the Blue Line O'Hare Branch will be added to two additional trips every weekday, six additional trips on Saturdays and five additional trips on Sundays, while the Blue Line Forest Park Branch will follow even more: 30 additional trips every weekday, 17 additional trips and on Saturdays and two additional trips on Sundays.

Red and yellow line trains have their schedules for the early morning at 4:40 a.m. when the first yellow line to travel north to the north to take off howard.

“In the past three years, CTA has added the blue line to improve its reliability, and we look forward to adding even more service by 2025,” said reigning President Nora Leerhsen. “This investment makes the blue line an even better transport parenting for those affected by the reconstruction of the Kennedy Expressway.

The changes come when the third and last phase of improving the Kennedy Expressway begins and two outgoing lanes closes and the incoming reversible Express lanes were completely canceled on Tuesday morning.

The entrance and output of the reversible lanes will also be closed until mid -July. Drivers who drive to O'Hare cannot use the express tracks.

The Illinois Department of Transportation and CTA both continued to urge the use of the public transit, since delays were expected due to the project.

“Since the work zone takes place with the hurry on Tuesday morning, the use of alternative routes and public transport will be strongly promoted again,” said Illinois Ministry of Transport in a statement on Monday.
