Day drives Fordham Athletics over 1 million US dollars to brand

Bronx, NY – For the first time, Fordham Athletics exceeded the 1 million US dollar brand due to its two leading donation initiatives of the academic year: Giving Dirchy and Giving Day.

The RAMs officially put the 1 million US dollar brand in the shade after collecting more than 320,000 US dollars the day at the beginning of this month. In December, Fordham had a record event event events on Tuesday, in which more than 850 donors contributed more than $ 700,000 to support the 22 varsity programs in the department and more than 500 student athletes.

“The generosity of our supporters is really remarkable,” said sports director Charles Guthrie. “Seeing this level of investment from our alumni, family and friends was the highlight of my first months here in Rose Hill. I cannot thank our donors enough and look forward to working with each individual, while we help Fordham to exploit his full potential.”

Giving Day, who began on March 4, was highlighted by an increase in total funding of 13% compared to the previous year with 400 donors, which made $ 320,582. This total amount made up almost a third of Fordham's sum, the optimal of the individual units within the university.

Fordham Water Polo, who appears in the semi -finals of the National Collegiate Championship, led more than 150,000 US dollars with 98 donors to support the efforts of the RAMs.
