Deaths in nursing homes lead to a frozen supplementary recall recall

Officials state that the source of several Listeria diseases has been examined since 2018, and recent progress in genome sequencing has now confirmed that samples from the PAIRIE FARMS dairy throwing facility in Indiana are closely related to the tribe that allows the FDA. According to the recall, the Shake products with at least 38 diseases and 12 deaths were associated in a number of states, including Alabama, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New York , North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and West Virginia.

The recall affects 4 ounces. Lyons Readycare and Sysco Imperial Frozen Supplemental Shakes sold in various flavors, including vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and strawberry banana.

The recalled shakes were manufactured by Prairie Farms Dairy in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and mainly distributed to nursing homes and long -term care facilities in the USA by Lyons Magnus.

The top of the called Shake boxes are marked with a lot of code and “best by date”. You can find a diagram in which all products and corresponding lotcodes are listed in the FDA's official callback display.

Lyons Magnus has notified customers who have the affected products of the prairie farms in their possession, taken measures to stop a further purchase of them and remove them from further distribution.
