Dee Brown releases a new album “Mister Smooth”

Groove Jazz guitarist Dee Brown is cool, calm and control over a new album

The album “Mister Smooth” drops on March 28th, on the same day the title track will be published as a single.

Detroit, Michigan (March 5, 2025): Everyone longs for security, especially in these turbulent times. guitarist Dee Brown created a jazzy album by R&B instrumental on which he took over the persona of a fictional character called “Mister smooth”, “ Who is confident, focused and anchored in equanimity. With his Grammy®-nominated producer and long-standing employees Valdez Brantley (Usher, Mary J. Blige, Keith Sweat, Lil Wayne), Brown's sixth album will be released as a single as a single on March 28.

Step into the “Mister smooth” Character Like a method actor when writing and recording the album was a great route for Brown, who is a pious man of faith. The self -confidence and mature that he radiates on the recording and exhibited about his guitar work and the compositions that he created for the set are brave and authorized. It is a determined way of thinking that overcome the challenges and adversity and at the same time keeps control – even if the world feels chaotic.

Lord Glatt embodies a person who consistently stands over things and maintains control in every situation. Even if he is confronted with uncertainty, he falsifies it until he makes it and increases experience for everyone involved. I have created an album that captures the essence of what it means to be a mister smooth. This concept is not just a reflection of who I am or strived. It represents a powerful attribute that improves every situation. The name itself swings with many and makes it assignable and appealing. This is perfect with the type of music that we produce, and the kind of person we all strive with in harmony, ”said Brown, who has published several singles from the project in recent years while working on the collection.

After opening the album with “Mister smooth”, “ The artist, born in Detroit, offers a foretaste of his hometown in “Wes 8mile”, which he wrote with repeated billboard No. 1-chart-Toper Blake Aaron, which produced the song that was output as a single. Mike Parletts Saxophone perfectly complements Browns Cool Riffs from Electric Jazz guitar that calls the jazz guitar legend Wes Montgomery.

Another cooperation with Aaron led to “The Thing is …”, who added Horn player and arranger David Mann, keyboarder Tateng Katindig and Aaron's rhythm guitar to the ensemble. It was the second single from the album and hit all the important charts.

Brown and Brantley interpret the rousing hymn of Sister Sledge “We Are Family”, which includes an imaginative jazz collapse halfway through the Disco Dancefloor filling material.

Brown sees his Mr. Smooth character as someone who would be charming, which inspired the song entitled “Charming”.

“This track was developed after I decided that we had to record a slower song. I wanted 808 Electric Drums, Moog Synth/Bass and a variety of synthesized sounds in the 90s with a strong focus on guitar, ”said Brown.

“Finesse” was the first track for the album, but the song had to go through an evolutionary process. Brown explains: “I noticed a problem with the choir of the song. I decided to try an alternative melody and it seems to work perfectly. So when you hear the track when you hear the lead melody on the large body guitar, this is the new melody. If you listen to the background, there is another melody that is played with my Stratocaster style guitar, which is more like a picking style that plays the original melody. They work perfectly together. “

The first single of the album was “You Know”, which was published as a deep cut during the recording process to keep Brown at Rado playlist. His sociable guitar is chic and competent because she cleverly maneuvers a mid -speed Electric Groove.

The lively “charismatic” increases a thrust from Merlon Devines soprano saxophone. Brown explains: “In the beginning, Valdez (Brantley) played the flute sound on the route on his keyboard, but I felt that we needed a live flute player. Unfortunately, all flutists we knew were not available. I suggested using a soprano saxophone instead and called my good friend Merlon Devine. We have decided to keep the keyboard flute -sound, but it is Merlon's beautiful soprano saxophone that really stands out on this track. “

We experience a completely different side of Brown in “4. Dimension ”, on which he gives in his rock gottitar age ego.

“I was a kind of rock 'n' scooter that was influenced by big bands from the 80s and 90s. I always loved legendary guitarists like Jeff Beck, Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page, and I wanted to create a rocky, funky groove. We started exploring a direction that I usually don't go into. I used a lot of distortion and drive on my guitar. We also integrated a jazzy guitar sound, which led to a song that combines both jazz and rock elements, “said Brown.

Last holiday season, Brown published “Have a happy little Christmas” On the fact that he, Brantley (keyboards, piano, programming, arrangements), drummer Ron Otis and bassist Lanar Brantley by singer Jayla Treasure, a talented singer, songwriter, leader and worship manager and a music student who is currently continuing her studies on the college.

“I wanted to choose a song for the holidays that really embodies the spirit of the Christmas spirit. The song got great and reached the top of the streaming charts, ”inspired Brown.
