Both enter the house, but 10 minutes later the suspect can allegedly be seen to load pets and luggage into a Chevrolet -SUV that leaves the house at 8:22 p.m.

The affidavit states that Yolanda Marodi, according to the Ministry of Homeland Security

The following day, after the affidavit, Yolanda Marodi wrote a “well -known employee” regarding the incident.

“Rebecca came home and told me that she would leave me,” said Yolanda, according to an affidavit. “We had a big fight and I hurt her … I'm sorry.”

Yolanda is described as 5 feet, 2 inches in size with a weight of 166 pounds with brown hair.

Rebecca Marodi was seen in her house with several stab wounds and cuts less than an hour after her wife, who allegedly left the residence.

She died at the scene.

The couple have been married for about two years, said investigators.

According to the Riverside press distribution, Olejniczak was found dead in his apartment with stab wounds on his chest.

Yolanda Marodi, who was reportedly alienated by Olejniczak and lived in Vista with her two children, turned to the authorities shortly after the body found.

Marodi was convicted of voluntary homicide and served in prison for 13 years in connection with the murder.

After the death of Rebecca Marodi, Cal Fire founded a fund to support her family.

“Captain Marodi … has served more than three decades and dedicated to the protection of our communities with unshakable bravery, leadership and commitment,” wrote the agency on the fund website.

Marodi's fire brigade career began in 2003 as a volunteer firefighter before reaching a captain in 2022. She worked from a station in the French Valley in the Riverside County.

“She was not just a respected guide and mentor – she was a popular member of the Cal Fire family,” wrote the agency.

The agency said that Marodi was also the primary supervisor for her 77-year-old mother, who lived with her in Ramona.

“Your sudden and heartbreaking death has suspended her family in front of an immense grief and uncertainty,” said the agency.
