Direct3D Video Decode to Vulkan -Video -API, on which it is worked for wine

In addition to the assignment of the Direct3D -Graphics -API from Vulkan, wine developers are working to assign the Direct3D video acceleration -apis for working on the volcano video.

Codeweaver developer Elizabeth Figura has opened a Merge request for wine to start landing by Vulkan Video H.264 Decode in Wined3D code. In this way, Windows applications would ultimately use the use of the D3D11 -Video -Decodes -api Vulkan video in which Linux systems are supported.

This open merge request is only the first of three planned parts around Wined3d H.264 Decoding with the Vulkan video -API. At the moment it is only for H.264, but could be expanded for other video formats that are also supported by Vulkan Video and Direct3D.

This is an exciting development of Wined3D, and hopefully this functionality will soon be wired for the use of Vulkan video in Wine / Steam Play (Proton) via the Direct3D video interfaces.
