Divers save 'old, seriously injured loggerhead turtle in front of Florida Keys

Marathon, Fla. -E “old”, 322-pound logger head turtle, thanks to an alarm diver who was seriously injured, according to Turtle Hospital, receives a new life with an alarm diver who seriously injured it.

The turtle, now with the nickname “Lenny”, is an estimated to be more than 60 years old and was found on Friday off the Islamorada coast, with “serious injuries to her front flipper and his head” because of a predatory attack.

Diver Mike Papish worked with the Turtle Hospital and the Sundance Water Sports to “organize a team to save the injured turtle after discovering an earlier dive,” says a press release from the Turtle Hospital.

The Turtle Hospital employee brought Lenny to the facility in marathon for treatment via the “Turtle Hospital.

“A complete recovery is to be hoped that the reproductive turtle can be returned to the wilderness in good time for the mating season,” says the press release.
