Dixons Bailey Tegeler among the region's softball player to see this season – Shaw Local

The PREP softball season begins this week. Here are five outstanding players who can be seen in the Valley area Sauk.

Bailey Tegeler, Dixon, sr. FROM

The returning all-state selection of the Illinois Coaches Association All-State Third Team in class 3a and the All-Big Northern Conference First Teamer led the team to an average of 0.520 OBP and 1.244 OPS last season. She had 38 goals with a Homerun, 14 doubles, four triple, 22 RBIs, 36 runs and a whopping 40 stolen bases.

Cheyenna Wilkins, polosr. Utility

The returning all-nuic South First-Teamer led Polo with 32 runs and 14 twice as a junior. She also had 40 goals and fought .430. In the low season, she played in the Netherlands abroad.

Bella Duncan, Morrisonsr. P/utility

The returning ICA All-State Second Team selection in 2a and All-Trac West-First-Team-Pitcher reached 0.506 with 10 Home Runs and 24 RBIs. Duncan, a western Michigan Commit, excluded 232 batters in a circle with an ERA of 1.71 in 109 Innerings. Her younger sister Ava, a second student, also represents the Stutfalen.

Reese Germann, Fultonsr. FROM

An ICA All-State Third-Team selection in 1a and Nuic West First-Teamer, German, scored 52 RBIs and eight Homeruns last season. She had a 1.313 ops with 43 goals and 42 runs that returned for a steamer team with a solid core of talents.

Kendra Kingsby, Milledgevillejr. P/IF: Kingsby, a selection of the ICA All-State Second team in 1a and all-nuic South First-Teamer, was the Nuic South player of the year in the second year. She met .507 with 36 goals, 31 RBIs and five Homeruns. She achieved a 3.23 ERA in a circle with 84 strikeouts in 67 Innerings.

Kendra Kingsby from Milledgeville will set up on April 8th against Pearl City during a tournament organized by the wolves.
