Doctor accuses of fraud, sexual misconduct that is to be released on Bond

Memphis, tenn. (WMC) -An East Memphis doctor who is exposed to federal fees is released due to a bond of 10,000 US dollars, a judge decided on Tuesday.

An indictment against 23 points, which was not sealed on Friday, accuses Dr. Sanjeev Kumar to force at least four women to travel to Memphis to carry out illegal sex files between September 2019 and June 2024.

Dr. Kumar operates the Poplar Avenue Clinic – Women's Health and Med Spa In 6584 Poplar Avenue.

On April 16, 2024, the FBI attacked the clinic in search of evidence of this charge.

In cooperation with his commitment, the public prosecutor's office Kuman recommended that you close his clinic in the Poplar Avenue, be willing to provide patients with medical documents so that you can change the clinics and make it agree not to offer medication or health services in any function as the conditions of his release.

Kumar also has to make his passport and have no contact with employees or victims. He is also restricted on his trip to West Tennessee.

Dr. Kumar faces:

  • Four cases of temptation and incentives to work on illegal sex files
  • Five cases of falsifications of disposable devices
  • Three counts of Misbranding of reproduced individual use devices
  • A number of falsifications of hysteroscopes for reprocessing deleted
  • And ten charges of health fraud

An indictment is planned for March 12.
