Dodger's schedule: Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, Will Smith over deck

With four games in the books, the Dodgers start their first full week of the Cactus League on Monday. It is a week in which the game debuts from Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman and Will Smith will probably be included after rehabilitation injuries.

Ohtani on the hit side will work back from the shoulder operation in November. He made live pitching against live pitching on Sunday and manager Dave Roberts said reporters said that Ohtani, according to Bill Plunkett, from the Orange County Register could play in games at the end of this week.

Freeman had the right ankle surgery in December and was limited early in the camp. His first impact was on February 15, whereupon he said reporters that he was “perfect on the right track” to play in Tokyo on March 18 on March 18. Part of this miracle includes entry into Cactus League games that could start this week.

Catcher Will Smith was not operated on, but at the beginning of spring training had to deal with an ankle injury that excluded him. Last Tuesday Smith said he would play in games next week.

Further debut by Cactus League this week Tyler Glasnow will be against the Mariners on Tuesday against the Reds and Blake Snell Pitching on Tuesday.

Here is Dodgers Games's schedule in the coming week:

  • Monday, February 24th at Reds, 12:05 p.m. PT
  • Tuesday, February 25th against Mariners, 12:05 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 26th at Brewers, 12:10 p.m.
  • Thursday, February 27th at Rockies, 12:10 p.m.
  • Friday, February 28th against Angels, 5:05 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 1: against Giants, 12:05 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 2: Split squad against White Sox and at A's, 12:05 p.m.

All of these games are broadcast on television by Sportsnet LA. The only exception is next Sunday when the Dodgers have a shared squad with two games at the same time. The home game against the White Sox will be on TV, while the street game against A is not.

Friday against the Angels will be the first game of spring for the Dodgers, and a weekend with organists Dieter Ruehle starts to play the organ on Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the game on the Camelback Ranch.
