NXT Stand & Deliver 2024 showed a number of praised games, but the triple threat between Donovan Dijak, Josh Briggs and Oba Femi won the NXT MATCH of the Year Award at the end of the year.

When the match was celebrated, Donovan Dijak had not been in society for months when the company decided not to extend his contract in June.

When Dijak with Jeremy Lambert and Joel Pearl from Fightful Overbuched's in the Weeds podcast entertained for a new interview, he said, he was grateful to be part of this conversation before he also explained that the award means a lot to him.

“It was bitter, but I am very grateful that it could be a part of this conversation. They didn't have to do it. I assumed that Shawn Michaels had to take this in a way. The recording of this game at the end of the year was very easy to expect, and it was not great that I was grateful for all fans who have been. Great cooperation, but a large part of the content you see in a game is the work of the professional wrestlers. I am very grateful for that.

Elsewhere in the interview, Dijak spoke about Knuckles at NXT Stand & Deliver. Find out more by clicking here.
