Dr. Congo accuses Rwanda of capturing the recording of fighter in connection with genocide

The army of the Democratic Republic of Congo has accused Rwanda of linking prisoners in military uniforms in order to say goodbye to the genocide in Rwanda as a newly recorded rebels.

It comes after the M23 rebels in East Dr. Congo that they had captured fighters from the democratic armed forces for the liberation of Rwanda (FDLR) – a militia founded by ethnic hutus who took part in the genocide from 1994 against Rwandas Tutsis.

“This is part of the Rwandian strategy to justify the invasion of parts of the DRC territory,” added.

Rwanda used the presence of FDLR armed forces in the eastern Congo to justify his support for the M23.

The country previously denied that the M23 supported, but also emphasized that due to the FDLR presence in the eastern Congo, it has the right to take military measures in the eastern Congo.

UN experts have previously estimated that there are between 3,000 and 4,000 Rwandic troops in the eastern Congo.

UN experts also reported last year that the Congolese military had used several armed groups, including the FDLR, as a deputy in the fight against the M23.

The genocide in Rwanda took place over 100 days in 1994.

The ethnic Hutu militia, which was involved in killing up to 800,000 people – the vast majority of the Tutsi community – fled to what Dr. Congo is, some form the FDLR.

Kagame, who led the rebel -Ttutsi power, which ended the murder more than three decades ago, sees this “genocide militia” as an existential threat.
