Dürre in CT -Sparks approaches concerns about the brushfire season

Connecticut, USA – Despite the youngest storms in Connecticut, the drought conditions continue to linger across the state, which affects the concerns about the rapprochement with the brushfire season.

The national weather service defines drought as the lack of precipitation over a longer period of time.

Connecticut has seen dry conditions since last September. The drought conditions increased in December because the precipitation remained well -being.

Despite the relief in February, medium -heavy to severe drought lingered throughout the state.

January continued the dry trend, with a large part of Connecticut recording below average rainfall. The parade of the storms did not help in February.

Since dry conditions still occur, the risk of brush fire is probably increased. The fire conditions are favorable during the drought, the low humidity and the airy days. Extreme warmth can also be a contributor.

If the season is approaching outdoors, it is important to remember tips on fire prevention, including:

• Never leave the fire unattended because the respective fuel can lead to a quick spread.
