Edinburg North & Edinburg High Head Football coach assigned

The head coach of Edinburg Bobcats, Rene Guzman and the head coach of Edinburg North, Damian Gonzalez, are re -assigned, according to Edinburg CISD.

The movements open up two of the best -known football coaching positions in the Valley High School Football at two of the largest programs in the RGV. Both teams live in District 31-6a.

Last season, the Edinburg High Bobcats took third place in 2: 3, while Edinburg North was 1-4 for last place. PSja and Weslaco took first and second place in the district ranking. The only loss in the district game for both school came when Psja on the 25th October Weslaca defeated. The two squads came to the top in each of their games against their enemies from Edinburg.

Both teams ended under 500 in the year when they recorded their non-district records (5-6 for Edinburg High & 3-7 for Edinburg North). The Cougars defeated the Bobcats 7: 6 in the last game of the regular season.
