In his record-long speech to the congress, President Donald Trump confirmed his endeavor to have taxes on tips and overtime, a position that has enough cross-party seal of approval that it is also part of Andrew Cuomo's mayor-run agenda. We do not agree.

This falls into the bucket of a policy that sounds excellent on paper in top professions that give less of their hard-earned money for the government, which is not to be liked, but begins to examine more closely. Income is income. Working for a fixed hourly wage or a set weekly salary should make no difference to your tax rate, which is progressive, since people with higher incomes pay a higher percentage.
