El Paso Marathon sets a record with a new course and high participation

El Paso, Texas (KVIA) -The El Paso Marathon saw a record-breaking participation when the runners visited a new course in Eastside-to downtown.

From the Eastside Sports Complex, the marathon, half marathon and 5 km race ended in the historic San Jacinto Plaza in the city center.

This year's course contained picturesque routes by legendary city roads and districts.

The event is now an important qualification game for big races such as the Boston Marathon, the New York Marathon and the Abbott World Marathon Age Group Championship.

With more than 500 participants, the El Paso marathon continues to grow with popularity and prestige.
