Elon Musk congratulates Germany's AfD based on the election result

Elon Musk continued his public cooperation with the right -wing extremist alternative against Germany (AfD) party and sent a congratulatory post for X to the party chairman of the party, Alice Weidel, according to the election results in Germany.

Musk quoted Hungarian President Viktor Orbán in the post office, who sent the AfD his own message to support.

“The Germany population voted to change the immense numbers. I would like to congratulate @alice_weidel to double the share of @AFD in the votes. Good luck and God bless Germany! “Orbán wrote.

In response, Musk said: “Congratulations @alice_weidel! With this growth rate, @AfD will be the majority party in the next elections. ”

The two conservative parties in Germany, the Christian Democrats (CDU) and their sister group The Christian Social Union (CSU), won the election last night with around 30% of the vote. The AfD became second place with a record of 20% of the votes.

The Social Democrats of Center-Linking Social Democrats (SDP) took 16%of the votes, which may be the worst result, followed by the Greens with 13.3%and then the left party with 8.6%, the liberal free democratic party (FDP) With 4.9%the left populist BSW party with 4.7%and others with 3.9%.

The CDU/CSU leader Friedrich Merz will be the next Chancellor in Germany.

Since its immersion in politics, Musk has been a loud supporter of the AfD. In December he wrote: “Only the AfD can save Germany.”

The numbers of the last night are the best result of the AfD, but in Germany they are no surprise. The party has achieved steady election gains in recent years and has caused alarm systems both within Germany and at the international level.

The party is summarized by the opposition against immigration and anti-Islam mood and was classified by the German judiciary as a “alleged extremist party”. The party also has significant roots in the neo-Nazi movement, with several caution-loyal members affected with legal information and fines for the use and promotion of national socialist slogans.
