ESPN ranks Michigan Football within 25 to 2025

After what many would call the “down year” for the Wolverines in 2024, the expectation that Michigan will collapse in 2025 and will be in the playoff hunting again.

This week, ESPN released its SP+ projection lists based on three factors, including the generation of returns, the latest recruitment metrics and the overall performance of a team from the last three seasons. In cooperation, these analyzes can determine the top teams in college football in the 2025 season.

Obviously, Michigan has been one of the best teams in the Big Ten in the last three seasons, won two conference championships and conquered the national championship in 2023. While the Wolverines have lost many important pieces in this low season, many weapons remain. In addition to some important return parts on both sides of the ball, head coach Sherrone Moore and his employees also did an incredible job on the recruitment route and within the transfer portal.

If you put together everything, it makes sense that Michigan is seen as a top -15 team in the 2025 season.
