Ex-WWE star Sonya Deville reveals how big ends with Mandy Rose

As early as 2020, WWE star Sonya Deville was targeted in a terrifying test tour, which was thwarted by the police. The incident had a massive impact on her life, and after her latest WWE publication, the wrestler publicly thought about the various effects. In an interview with Ariel Helwani, Deville said that the original plan for the feud against her former Tag team partner Mandy Rose was changed due to the event.

“They told me I should take the time,” said Deville. “That's why we changed the end of myself and Mandys Summerlam match. It should be hair against hair, and we all decide, maybe this is a traumatic step that happens at the moment because … I should shave my head, and that would lead to a big character.”

Deville continued that she initially hesitated to change her appearance so drastically, but she warmed up the idea when August rolled over. However, the attempted kidnapping took place only a week before Summerlam 2020, and the company almost canceled the game. Deville, on the other hand, was determined and she landed a convincing argument in her case.

Sonya Deville & Mandy Rose changed WWE Summerlam 2020 plans

Just a few days after her kidnapping, Deville tried behind the stage at a WWE event and was determined to wrestle with Summerlam. The actor went with Vince McMahon or a chief writer and accidentally went to a company production meeting with more than 40 WWE officials and employees, including McMahon.

“In the end I gave everyone a speech,” said Deville. “I said: 'Listen, I don't want to do what this guy did to dictate my career or future, and it somehow pisses me up, that was the intention of the man, so I wrestle in one way or another. And Vince said:' Okay, what do you want? ' “

Deville said that McMahon gave her the opportunity to make the kind of match she likes at the event, and she and rose came together and came up with the idea of making it a “loser injury” match. Her pitch, which was accepted by McMahon, had Rose won and Deville took the time from the WWE before he came back with an updated version of her character.

This plan was quickly changed to win Deville, which none of the wrestlers had worked for the story. They then successfully campaigned to change the finish again, and Rose defeated Deville in the feud.
