The state of Alabama has determined an appointment for a man who dropped his appeals and asked to be killed in Chilton County 2010 for rape and murder.

The 55-year-old James Osgood is to be carried out on April 24th by Lethal Injection, said Governor Kay Ivey.

Osgood was convicted of the murder of Tracy Lynn Brown from 2010. The public prosecutor said Osgood cut her throat after he and his girlfriend had sexually attacked her.

Osgood dropped his appeals in the summer and asked the state to determine an appointment with him.

He was convicted in 2014 and sentenced to death, but an appellate court threw the judgment and decided that a judge gave the jury inappropriate instructions. But when he sold in 2018, Osgood asked for a death sentence and told the judge that he believed in an “eye for an eye”.

Osgood renewed his appeals after his conviction until it dropped this summer.

Brown was found dead in her house on October 23, 2010 after her employer had been taken care of when she did not show up for work. The prosecutors said that she was stabbed and her neck was cut.

The prosecutors said Osgood told the police that he and his girlfriend Brown had sexually attacked and attacked after talking about how they had fantasies about kidnapping and torture from someone.

In the 2018 conviction, in which the death sentence was convicted, a judge found that Osgood had a difficult childhood that included sexual abuse, abandonment and attempted suicide. His brain development may have been hindered due to malnutrition he suffered as a child.

But the judge also said that it was Osgood who cut Brown's neck and stabbed her during the attack that Brown asked her not to hurt her.

Osgood's girlfriend, the other person who was charged because of the murder, is guilty and was sentenced to life imprisonment.
