A summer garden in full bloom is a sight. Since our gardens shake off the bleak winter season, the ideal time is now to plant summer blue such as dahlias, Calla Lilies and Freesias. Planting summer lamps in spring means that you can enjoy a nice color until early autumn.

When should you plant summer flowering light bulbs?

Summer bulbs can be planted from Mid -March to mid -Juneas long as the entire risk of a frost has passed. They can also be grown inside and moved outside when the temperature rises.

When do summer flowering lamps bloom?

Summer bulbs usually bloom out June to August. The earlier you plant your light bulbs, the earlier you will bloom. Some summer bulbs come back every year, but not all. Examples of multi -year light bulbs are commonia, lilies, dahlias and gladioli.

What is the difference between spring and summer leaves?

The main difference between spring and summer light bulbs is that they are planted – and of course when they bloom.

How should you plant your summer flower bulbs for a dazzling display?

The best thing about light bulbs is that you don't take up a lot of space. Regardless of whether you plant your in pots and containers or especially in the ground, you place light bulbs at least 20 centimeters under the floor. Keep the bottom moist, but make sure not to fly over water.

“Note that you prepare the soil with a lot of organic matter such as compost or well -borne crap,” says John. “This delivers all the nutrients that need their onions to bloom with plenty of flowering until summer.

“Mulating the area with organic material can contribute both in the moisture dase and the suppression of weed aids, creating a favorable growth environment.”

Don't forget to promote flowers with deadheads to promote new growth and prevent the plant from putting energy into seed production. “Feed your plants during the vegetation period with a balanced fertilizer to improve your performance and lead to more productive flowers,” adds John.
