Kris Spencer has lived in the area directly opposite the victim's house for about eight months. He described it as a quiet living area with many families with children who live nearby.

“I never expected to move here,” said Spencer. “There are always cars that are parked up and down the street and the park is there, so I never thought.”

Spencer said he hadn't heard anything that sounded like a shot on Saturday evening.

“Nothing and it is very quiet here. You would hear something, ”said Spencer.

The next morning Spencer said that Shulishov's brother, before the police had arrived in the afternoon, asked every neighbor if they had seen him.

“He was very angry, nervous. He made it clear what I remember, what I remember that he came home and that all of his things were there. The cars were all there and it was as if it had disappeared, ”recalled Spencer.

Hours later, Shulishov's body was just a few meters away from his house with a gunshot wound.

Oakleaf remains in the Multnomah County Detung Center with charges for his indictment on March 10th.
