Fast action of homeowners limits the damage in the spring fire of the cave fruits

Roanoke County Fire and Rescue and the Cave Spring volunteer fire brigade reacted on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. in the 6500 block of the Monet Drive in the area of ​​cave fruits around 8:00 p.m.

CSVFD was the first unit on site and the fire was in the back of the structure.

The homeowners quickly acted with portable fire extinguishers and a water hose.

“We recommend the homeowner for his quick action and use of portable fire extinguishers to delete the fire before the units arrived,” said CSVFD.

Most of the damage was included on the outside of the house.

RCFRD says the occupants are not sold.

The Roanoke County's firefighter reports that the cause of the fire was rejected smoke material.
