Fatal fire in Rumney, NH examined – NBC Boston

After a house fire in Rumney, New Hampshire, one person died early Thursday morning, said the state firefighter.

Firefighters said that the crews were called to the house in the Main Street at around 2:25 a.m., who tried to search the house, were pushed back by intensive conditions. Hours later, at 5:09 a.m., the fire was explained under control.

One person was found dead in the house. The Chief Medical Examiner office will carry out an autopsy to identify it and determine the cause and type of death.

Crews from Wentworth, Plymouth, Campton-Thornton, Ashland, New Hampton, Hebron, Kanaan, Haiahill, Holderness, Waterville Valley, Center Harbor, Bridgewater and Bristol reacted to the call. The New Hampshire State Fire Marshal and the Rumney fire brigade examine the cause of the fire.
