Fear, depression in this country

According to a recent survey, the citizens in this country have reported that poor mental health has increased.

The number of South Koreans who said that they had increased the fear and feelings of depression last year, while the perception of happiness was different from the income group showed a survey result on Thursday. The respondents who said that fear last year recorded 4.1 out of 10 points compared to 3.4 points in 2023, and according to the Korea Institute of Public Administration, the feelings of the depression also increased from 2.8 points to 3.5 points in the same period, the Yonhap news agency reported.

The survey was carried out by 8,251 adults from August to September last year to examine the level of social integration and public perception. The public perception of happiness recorded an average of 6.8 points, an increase of 0.1 points compared to the previous year.

At the same time, the group with the lowest income with less than 1 million won (693 US dollars) indicated in monthly income that happiness had dropped to 6.0 points by 0.1 points compared to the previous year, while the same interest rate for the highest income groups with over 6 million profit from 6.8 points rose to 7.0 points.

The satisfaction rates for political and economic circumstances in the country rose by 0.7 points from the previous year and scored 5.1 and 5.3 points.

In the meantime, people who succeeded their views as moderately, 45.2 percent, near half, which made the largest percentage below the political inclinations, despite his 1.5 percent drop in the previous year.

Another 30.2 percent described themselves as conservatives, while 24.6 percent regarded themselves as liberals.

Anxiety and depressive disorders are the most common mental disorders worldwide. About 284 million people suffer from anxiety disorders, and 264 million people worldwide suffer from depressive disorders, according to the data from the magazine The Lancet and the World Health Organization (WHO).
