Fiorentina 1-0 Lecce: Match Report and Highlights

Before the game

Raffaelel Palladino changed everything and went to a 3-5-2 with Nicolò Zaniolo and Lucas Beltrán at the front. Cher Ndour and Pablo Marí both had their first viola while Robin Gosens also returned to the XI. Remarkably, the birthday child Moise Kean, who still recovered from a terrible concussion last week. Didn't stop him from an outfit that literally would literally look like a real stupid, unspeakable cool.

Marco Giampaolo did nothing drastic with his XI, although he only returned 5 of the starter from the insolent 0: 6 incorporation, which the viola put on the Salentini in October.

First half

The hosts started brightly with some good crosses that should have warned their visitors what would come. Sure enough, the clock had not even picked up for less than 10 minutes when Dodô Antonino Gallo dusted down the wing and hung a perfect cross so that Goossen got on the back post. This is the exact type of ball that the goose has made a career of the burial, and he didn't make a mistake here.

With this early boost, Fiorentina was happy to stop and try to beat during the break. They did the game well and hardly allowed Lecce offered a threat during the break during the break, although Zaniolo and Beltrán never looked like a goal. Nevertheless, everything was good until the bikes had expired a little. Marí made a bad mistake and cleared a ball in Luca Ranieri's Torso right next to him, and Lecce turned about half a dozen crosses back and forth before he finally had the steam. However, the viola escaped and took her first tour in 3 games in half.

Second half

Fiorentina came too passively from the break and enabled Lecce to control the possession and territory too easily. The Salentini didn't really get much, but there were clearly on the driver's seat, much to the horror of the Franchi, which every time they took the chance to go forward, whistle the viola and instead go back to their own defenders to slow them down. Finally, however, the hosts won a penalty when Balthasar Pierret handled Goosen's header from a corner. Lucas Beltrán acted, ready to achieve his first in a month and pinging it from the upright. The ball was bounced off for additional comedy and led to a Lecce break, but Danilo Veiga broadcast the best chance of his team on the game.

Fiorentina seemed to wake up a little and they sharpen themselves a little. Beltrán scored the crossbar (he is cursed) and then the later replacement of Albert Guðmundsson had a few chances to bring it to bed. He was at the first side, but still saw Vladimiro Falcone saved. The second was worse than Beltrán healed in 1: V-1, and he just missed it. After a few additional minutes, in which Palladino and Ranieri were warmed up over the additional time, Marinelli finally whistled dead and Fiorentina ended a 3-game defeat.

What's next

Fiorentina holds the victory with 45 points on the 6th place, which holds the pressure on Lazio (47 points). Juventus (49) is currently taking the last place in the Champions League when they are still silly enough to believe that this is a way, even though the math is there. Keep an eye on the Bologna Cagliari game on Monday to see if the viola can hang in this place. A victory for the Oscar-Meyers will apply you to our unfortunate boy.

Next, of course, for Fiorentina there is the narrative compulsive return to Athens to take over Panathinaikos in the Konconence League knockout round. Palladino has to find out how to restore a kind of threat to Pao without Kean, and then repeat the trick on Sunday when the viola goes south to take over a Napoli that is only 1 point from Inter Milan from the league leaders.

By the way, if you are the conspiracy type, here is your catch: Fiorentina is the only Italian team alongside Inter that still competes in Europe. The Nerazzurrri also get Napoli and then Atalanta in the weeks when they take over Feyenoord in the Champions League while the viola Napoli and Juventus get. Quite the random time planer.

Neither Rolando Mandragora nor Zaniolo have neither Palladino for this Napoli game due to accumulated cards. Add the injuries to Kean, Yacine Adli, Michael Folorunsho and Andrea Colpani and you have the recipe for a really catastrophic stew.
