Fire at home where the Lamar Cisd employee was killed as an arson day before death

The 47 -year -old David Pollard is accused of shooting and killing his wife Iona Pollard (52) on Sunday, February 9th. Days later, officials said it was set on fire.

Fort Bend County, Texas – a suspect was identified in the arson of a house in which, according to the Firs office of Fort Bend County Firefighter, a woman was previously killed.

The shooting and later fire took place in a municipality south of Richmond on the Rocky Knoll Lane. No injuries were reported in the fire.

On Sunday, February 9th, the MPs made a welfare check there shortly before 1 p.m. when they found Iona Pollard (52) from an apparent gunshot wound. Her husband David Pollard, 47, was charged with her murder. Its bond was set at 300,000 US dollars.

Both David and Iona Pollard were Lamar CISD employees. David Pollard was the security coordinator of the district. The LCISD superintendent Dr. Roosevelt Nivens said Iona Pollard was a teaching coach at the George Junior High School.

Almost a week after the fatal shootout, a fire was reported in the house. After an investigation, the firefighter's office found that the fire was deliberately determined.

On Wednesday, the firefighter's office said that laboratory results were proven that were taken from the fire brigade scene, confirmed the use of tent liquids.
