Fire destroys commercial woodworking transactions in Milton-Freewater

Milton Freewater -A massive fire that drew a great reaction to mutual help destroyed a business of Milton Freewater on Friday evening. Milton Freewater Rural Fire and Ems reports that firefighters were sent to a commercial woodworking business on the 85000 block of Highway 339 at 11:01 p.m. Several callers reported that the shop showed smoke and flames from all sides.

Arrived as firefighters, they found the one -story shop completely devoured. The neighbors were evacuated from great caution. The defensive fire attack lasted several hours due to the heavy fire load caused by the wooden materials housed in the shop.

The fire brigade scene is still active with considerable heat and smoke. The area is monitored and the public is asked to avoid the area.

With the support of Milton Freewater Fire and Ems, the fire brigade of Milton-Freewater, East Umatilla Fire and Rescue, Walla Walla County Fire District No. 4, College Place Fire Department, Milton Freewater Police Department, Umatilla County Sheriff's Office, Oregon State Department of Transportation, and Pacific Power.

The building is a total loss and the fire was included in the origin building. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is examined.
