Fire harms home and garage in Concord

Concord, NC (WBTV) – According to Concord Fire Department, a fire has damaged a house and a garage late Saturday evening.

Firefighters responded to the house on Lee Court SW at 11 p.m.

The fire brigade and staff were on site within four minutes and found that fire came from a connected garage and extended to the house.

Firefighters checked the fire within eight minutes after arrival. A resident was at home at that time, but was certainly able to leave the house and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is examined by the Concord Fire Marshal office.

Overall, the department announced that four engine companies, a leader company, a rescue company, three battalion chiefs, a security officer and a fire investor with a total of 27 firefighters reacted. The Concord Fire Department was supported by Cabarrus County Ems and City of Concord Electric Systems.
