Fire harms house, garage, several vehicles in Henderson County

Henderson County, Texas (KLTV) – A fire in Timber Bay subordination on Saturday required support from several agencies, as it quickly grew to size.

The crews were called to a structural fire around 1:28 p.m. and Payne Springs Fire Rescue said that the report was originally for a garage fire. However, it quickly dealt with a house and several vehicles, according to the rescue, and a very large column of smoke was visible than the responders arrived.

The authorities said a viewer who had noticed that the fire alerted the person who lived there and allowed them to be sure before the crews were on site.

The fire grew to capture a garage, three cars, a motorcycle, the house, other materials and building surfaces nearby, according to the rescue. Firefighters said that fuel also burned from the vehicles on the floor.

Several attempts were made to enter and fight the fire, but the crews said they were forced due to the extreme heat. Three Payne Springs Fire Rescue Firefighter suffered minor injuries, and two were brought to the emergency room by Ems. Both were treated and released.

Weapon Barrel City Fire, Eustace Fire, Block Cabin Fire, Canney City Fire, Malakoff Fire, Long Cove Fire, Mabank Fire, UT Health Ems, American Red Cross and the fire brigade office of the Henderson County Fire Brigade helped to respond.

The rescue also thanked civilians nearby who brought drinking water to the firefighters.
