Fire in de Pere leaves duplex a complete loss

De Pere (Wluk) – A fire with an explosion was reported this afternoon in a duplex in de Pere, which leaves an inmate with minor injuries.

The Fox River Fire District was sent to the duplex due to the fire in Terry Lane 2020.

An inmate had made its way to the roof of the building to avoid the flames and was supported by inmates in the adjacent duplex.

As an units arrived, smoke showed up from all sides of the house and there were signs of an explosion, with several windows broken and rubbing in the courtyard.

The fire was quickly in the basement and was deleted from the outside by the fire staff.

All occupants made it out of the residence, and some cats were returned to their owners by FRFD.

An inmate was brought to a local hospital with minor injuries by the explosion. All other occupants were evaluated and released from the scene.

The duplex suffered an estimated 550,000 US dollar and is considered a complete loss.

Red cross was called to help the residents.

Fire brigade units from Lawrence, Hobart, Ashwaatubenon, Morrison and County save everyone at the scene.

The cause of the explosion is still being examined.
