What we know:

The Bloomington fire brigade say that the fire broke out on Friday at 6 a.m. in a building near the intersection of 26th Avenue and the Lindau Lane east of the Mall of America.

A Mndot traffic camera recorded flames and smoke out of the building.

Ulie Seal, fire chief of Bloomington, said that her greatest concern was to ensure that the structure was not involved in the fire. They then found that it was roofing material that was on fire, but the flames were in danger because of the strong wind.

Firefighters from Edina and Richfield responded to mutual help and helped to extinguish the flames, officials said.

The area was closed to traffic when firefighters monitored the site to ensure that flames did not develop again.

No injuries were reported.

What we don't know:

Officials have not published the alleged cause of the fire.
