Fire weather warnings are available for a dry and windy St. Patrick's Day forecast

Corpus Christi, Texas – Happy Monday!

What you need to know

  • Fire weather (red flag) warning in force on Monday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Despite a cool morning, a warm and sunny day is ahead of us. The temperatures will reach the mid -1980s thanks to dry air. Strong winds will take off this afternoon and bring the focus of the forecast on the risk of fire. For domestic city parts, the relative humidity will be low (10-20%) and a warning for red flags will be in force from 11 a.m.

Please continue to avoid activities that could trigger a fire. High to extreme fire risk will be forecast by the middle of the week. Please do what you can do to prevent forest fires, especially on Saturday. Temperatures seem to stay warmer than usual for this season. Unfortunately, there is still no sensible precipitation in the forecast. Have a safe holiday from St. Patrick's Day!
