Firefighters delete house fire in Greene County – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

Greene County – firefighters deleted a fire in a house in Greene County on Sunday morning, said Doug McDaniel, head of the fire brigade of New Jasper.

The fire occurred in the 2000 block of the Jasper Road around 8:45 a.m.

Firefighters were called to the area after a homeowner reported Rauch from their house.

McDaniel said the crews had problems getting into the house because there was a thick smoke in the area.

On arrival, firefighters found flames in the back of the house near the kitchen.

According to McDaniel, firefighters deleted the fire and brought the smoke under control in about 45 minutes.

The crews are still working to ensure that the fire did not spread anywhere else in the house.

It is unclear whether someone was injured in this incident.

The cause of this fire remains examined.
