Firefighters meet several exotic animals, while they react to house fire on the Lakeland Avenue in Bristol Township, Bucks County,

Bristol Twp., Pa. (WPVI) – A fire that cracked through a house in Bucks County threatened a menagerie of pets, including several exotic animals.

Firefighters reacted to the 1600 block of the Lakeland Avenue in Bristol Township at around 1:20 a.m. on Thursday.

They had to force entry into the house because nobody was at home. But inside were two dogs, a cat, some toxic snakes as well as other exotic birds and reptiles.

The Action Cam caught someone who held one of the reptiles as firefighters worked in the scene.

It took about an hour to control the fire because the crews had to hold back the dogs to fight the fire.

Officials said the fire started in the back of the house, but the cause is still being examined.

No people were injured. At least two animals died, officials said.

Animal control and police will determine whether the exotic animals are legal or not.
