Firefly Aerospace published video by Blue Ghost's historical moon landing – video

Firefly Aerospace, the startup based in Texas, has shared video material of its successful soft landing on the moon of Blue Ghost Lander and is therefore only the second company in the private sector that has achieved this service.

Blue Ghost announced the film material after using an X-Band antenna that can radiate data and images from the vehicle, the company said, news.az reports, citing CNN.

The video, recorded as the Blue Ghost north of the moon equator within an old volcanic basin called Mare Crisium, steadily shows the vehicle downwards before ending up on its four legs.

Inside the pelvis is the moonland near an old volcanic feature called Mons Latreille, which is located on the Far Eastern edge of the visible face of the moon.

It is expected that Blue Ghost examines the moon surface for about two weeks until the lunar slump in landing into the landing zone comes into extreme cold and darkness, which makes it almost impossible for the largely solar landing to continue the operations.

The vehicle will try to work briefly in the dark, since the spaceship is equipped with batteries that aim to enable five or more operating hours in the absence of sunlight.

In a blog post on Tuesday, NASA -which this mission sponsored through its commercial moon protection services or CLPS (CLPS, program) that all ten scientific instruments and tech demonstrations on board “continue to be healthy”.

Several instruments have also started to collect data. This includes the electrodynamic dust sign or EDS, which is put on the landing of the spacecring surface with electrical currents from landing the space surface. Moon dust plagued astronauts and spaceships during the Apollo program of the NASA in the mid -20th century, as the fine and abrasive materials for camera lenses and visers, according to NASA.

The Space Agency said that the first data analysis indicates that the EDS experiment is a “promising solution for future moon surface surgery”.

The Lunar Global Navigation Satellite System Receiver Experiment or Lucre also switched on, which the story learned by capturing a GPS signal from the lunar surface for the first time.

The stereo cameras of NASA for Lunar spots surface studies or on the headyards also capture pictures that help the space authority to understand how moon floor reacts to the engine of a spacecraft when it is committed to landing.

Finally, Blue Ghost used the moon PlanetVac or LPV, a kind of vacuum that is equipped with its own gas that sucks the soil from the surface of the moon and tested how the sample collection could be made more efficient in absence. NASA confirmed that the vacuum started operating but has not yet said how well the instrument works.

Blue Ghost is the first of two moonlanders developed by separate companies in Texas that can drive on the surface of the moon this week.
