About Fred Haskins and the Haskins Foundation

From the coastal city of Liverpool to a picturesque Donald Ross course in Georgia, Fred Haskins built a call for the care of young golfers. Haskins was chief professional in the Country Club of Columbus for 34 years, which was recommended for the position of the legendary Bobby Jones. His shelters learned the game in courses on Saturday morning that cost a nickel. They won more than 150 college and amateur tournaments. Since its foundation in 1971, the Haskins Foundation has devoted itself to the amateur golf and the presentation of the Haskins Award. This coveted trophy honors the outstanding college golfer of the year and the memory of Fred Haskins, a club professional who spent his life to promote and support amateur golfers. The foundation based in Columbus, Georgia, monitors the coordination for the Haskins and Annika Awards, which are carried out under College guns, coaches, former winners and college golf media.
