First Lady Melania Trump announces Date for 2025 Easter Eggroll: Knowing everything

The Osterei reddening of the White House rolls back to the southern lawn. First Lady Melania Trump has announced the date for the SpringTime event 2025. This year's Easter egg roll of the White House will take place on Monday, April 21st.

“The President and First Lady look forward to continuing this entertaining tradition and making it an unforgettable experience for everyone,” said first lady's office in a press release.

The tradition of the White House dates from 1878 when Rutherford B. Hayes Was president. According to the National Park Service, the Congress passed a law in 1876 that was prohibited from being used as a children's playground for the Capitol site. In 1878, President Hayes “gave an order that if any children should come to the White House to roll their Easter eggs.”

First Lady Melania Trump held her first Easter egg roll of the White House in 2017. During her husband president Donald Trump's first term, Easter egg roll activities, included tickets for troops, musical eggs, best hopscotch, a reading corner and more.
