First photo of the hostage soldier, Matan Angrest, published – The Australian Jewish News

(The times of Israel) The family of the hostage soldier, Matan Angrest, published the first photo of him from a video from a video that was preserved from Hamas on Monday.

The Stillfoto joined an audio recording that was published a few months ago in which Angest Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked to secure his release, in comments that were probably dictated by his kidnappers.

The 21 -year -old attachment was taken from a tank in Nahale OZ during the battles on October 7, 2023.

“We demand that the government of Israel carry out all phases of implementation [hostage release and ceasefire] Deal before we move to the next stage of the war, ”said his mother Anat in an explanation.

“We have to bring Matan, whose life is endangered, and all hostages at home before we use more soldiers who will not return.”

Angrest's family also said that he had “hellish agony, tortious interrogations and under inhuman conditions”.

The family also complained that he was seriously wounded when he was kidnapped in Gaza, but was not included in the “humanitarian cases” that was not admitted to the first stage of the ceasefire agreement “because he is an Israeli soldier”.

Angrest is one of the 59 hostages that are still kept by terrorist groups in the Gaza Strip, including the corpses of at least 35 confirmed, which were confirmed dead by the Israeli defense forces.

As part of the ceasefire grin approved by Israel and Hamas on January 19, the remaining hostage should be published during the second stage of the deal, in which the IDF would complete a full retreat from Gaza. A third stage is also planned in which the corpses of Gazan terrorist groups are released, which would end the war and the reconstruction of Gaza.

The 24 hostages are probably alive, which are still kept by Hamas: upper row from left: Elkana Bohbot, Matan Angrest, Edan Alexander, Avinatan or Yosef-Haim Ohana, Alon Ohel. Second row from left: Evyatar David, Guy Gilboa-Dalal, Bipin Joshi, Rome Braslavski, Ziv Berman, Gali Berman. Third row from left: Omri Miran, Eisan Mor, Segev Kalfon, Nimrod Cohen, Maxim Herkin, Eisan Horn. Lower row from left: Matan Zangauker, Bar Kupershtein, David Cunio, Ariel Cunio, Tamir Nimrodi, Pinta Nattapong. (Hostage of the family forum)

The talks about the second phase were to begin on the 16th day of the 42-day first phase that ended on Saturday evening, but Israel has not dealt with indirect conversations with Hamas on this topic. Instead, the continuation of the armistice conditioned on a new frame in which the first stage is extended.

The prime minister's office said early Sunday that Hamas had previously rejected this proposal, which it described as the plan of the US Messenger of the East Steve Witkoff, and implied that if this attitude has not changed, Israel could resume the war against the Palestinian terrorist group, which was triggered from October 7, 2023 on October 7, 2023.
