FIU football is oriented in the first week in the first week

After some waiting time, the start of the season of the Fiu Panthers is officially.

Fiu meets the first game of the season against the Wildcats Bethune-Cookman. The exact day for the matchup still has to be determined. It will take place either on Friday, August 29th or Saturday, August 30th.

This will mark the fifth matchup between these two programs, the first since 2014. Bethune-Cookman has won every game against the FIU. In this game from 2014, when the wildcats faced the Panthers, they won 14: 12.

Before his time at the Fiu, Willie Simmon's head coach of Florida A&M was very familiar with Bethune-Cookman, a rival of the Rattlers. Simmons scored a 4-2 record against the wildcats and defeated them with Famu in the Florida Blue Classic in the past two years.

Fiu will open the 2025 season for the first time in 2022 when the Panthers Bryant guest have and defeated them with an end result of 38-37.
