Five in TPSO drug examinations arrested | crime










Hammond — The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office (TPSO) arrested three people in connection with drug operation in the city limits of Hammond and in the Tickfaw area.

Alvin Cotton, 48, was booked for possessions with the intention, marijuana, mojo, methamphetamine and heroin, as well as the possession of a firearm and drug utensils.

Hayes Cotton (64), Doniel Gauden (46) and Rene Alvarado (43) were detained due to existing arrest warrants in connection with drug activities.

Kimberly Lizana, 50, was booked for possession of Crack cocaine and drug utensils.

At the beginning of the last month, according to the public tips, TPSO began an examination of a drug company that distributed methamphetamine on the Whiskey Lane in Tickfaw and Mitchell Drive in Hammond. The investigation later identified cotton than the operation of the company.

Searching commands were secured for both locations, and on Friday, March 14th, in addition to the TPSO Criminal investigations and special discussion, the suspects were arrested together with the special reaction team of the Hammond Police Department and confiscated drugs such as meth, mojo and cocaine as well as weapons.

“Since criminal activities know no limits like the city limits and the Sheriff office of the TANGIPAHOA,” said Sheriff Gerald sticker, “we will continue to work in cooperation with the Hammond Police Department and other local, state and federal authorities to examine illegal activities in which it is in our community.”

This investigation continues with further arrests.
